Papa Roach
Papa Roach is a four-piece rock band based in Vacaville, California that was
formed in 1993.
After one year i.e. in 2004, the band recorded their first 7 track EP (extended play)
titled “Potatoes For Christmas” and in 1995 the band released a 2 track
promo at Sound Farm Studios titled Caca Bonita.
In 1997, the Papa Roach band released their first full-length album
named “Old Friends from Young Years”. The name "Papa Roach" comes from
the cockroach and as Papa Roach says: "When a bomb explodes, what's
going to survive? Cockroaches." The "Papa" part of the name comes from
Coby's stepfather, Howard William Roatch, nicknamed "Papa".
In 1998, the Papa Roach released a new 5 track EP titled “5 Tracks Deep”
and that caught the attention of Warner Brothers, who later on financed
the production of a 5 track promo/demo CD. After touring the United
States, United Kingdom and Japan, the band released another super hit
album titled “lovehatetragedy” in 2002.
In 2004, the band released another super hit album titled “Getting Away
with Murder”. After the tremendous success of “Scars”, Getting Away with
Murder sold well and eventually went platinum. Papa Roach's 4th major
label release "The Paramour Sessions" was released in the United States
in the month of September in 2006. |
